ICG does not “manage money,” we do not offer trust services, we have no proprietary products and 100% of our revenues are generated from the investment advice and portfolio construction work that we provide to clients.

Objective manager selection: ICG is paid only by its clients on a fixed percentage of assets basis. We charge no incentive fees, nor do we have any compensatory arrangements with our managers. In fact, we are often able to negotiate discounted fees and terms with managers, whose benefits are passed directly on to clients.

Size Boutique: Unlike many commoditized consulting models that can be packaged and sold to countless clients, our core strength revolves around a smaller, highly focused, and customized consulting practice. Our investment team is intimately involved in every step of the investment process from manager due diligence to portfolio construction to client service. Larger consulting firms tend to separate these functions and take more of a siloed approach.

Manager Access: Many “best-in-class” managers are capacity constrained and will not distribute their funds through traditional brokerage firms or many of the larger consulting platforms. Our size allows us to seek out and discover investment managers whose business models are predicated on generating returns as opposed to gathering assets.
