Our Team

Investment Professionals J. Jeffrey Assaf is a senior managing director and the chief investment officer of ICG as well as the chairman of the firm's investment committee. In addition to his responsibilities in setting the firm's strategic direction and managing client relationships, Mr. Assaf supervises portfolio construction and modeling. Prior to ICG, Mr. Assaf was a senior managing director of Bear Stearns and the head of the Investment Consulting Group from 1996 through 2008. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Assaf was a senior vice president and department head for the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. He graduated from the University of California Irvine with a BA in psychology and received his MBA, with an emphasis in finance, from the University of Southern California. Mr. Assaf is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), a designation awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. Mr. Assaf serves on the Boards of Directors for several non-profit organizations.

Robert B. Edelstein is a managing director of ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 1998 and his responsibilities include portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Edelstein was an associate director of Bear Stearns and the head analyst of the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Mr. Edelstein was an analyst with Sherwood Financial Group where he served on the investment committee for the company's fund-of-funds, assisted with the management of discretionary portfolios and was also responsible for all accounting and performance reporting. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in business administration with an emphasis in finance.

Jonathan H. Blenner is a director of ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 2001 and his responsibilities include portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Blenner was a vice president of Bear Stearns and a senior analyst for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, he spent two years as an associate at Jennison Associates, an institutional asset management firm in New York. Mr. Blenner graduated from Tufts University with a BA in economics.

Jeremy D. Chused is a senior analyst at ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 2005 and his responsibilities include portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Chused was an analyst at Bear Stearns for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, he was a trader at Shoreline Trading, LLC, an account executive at Digital Impact, and a business practice analyst for Oracle Corporation. Mr. Chused graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in advertising and a minor in business administration.

Eric A. Sartwell is a senior analyst at ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 2005 and his responsibilities include portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Sartwell was an analyst at Bear Stearns for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, he was an analyst at RSM EquiCo Inc., a boutique investment bank. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BS in mathematics and received his masters in finance from the University of Tulsa.

Benjamin P.W. Durrant is a director of ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 2009 and his responsibilities include manager due diligence, business development and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Durrant was a director of Palmyra Capital Advisors, LLC, an LA-based hedge fund, where he was responsible for marketing and client service. Prior to Palmyra, he was head trader of Vantis Capital Management, LLC, a global macro hedge fund in Los Angeles. Before Vantis, he spent several years on Wall Street as an institutional trader at both Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, and was a partner on a team within Merrill Lynch's Private Banking & Investment Group. He graduated from Tufts University with a BA in psychology, and received his MBA with a concentration in international finance from Columbia Business School.

Eleftherios (Terry) Monis is an associate director at ICG and a member of the investment committee. Mr. Monis joined ICG in 2010 and is primarily responsible for manager due diligence. Prior to joining ICG, Mr. Monis was with Ivy Asset Management, a $5 billion fund of hedge funds, in New York and London. He was a vice president at Ivy where his responsibilities included manager research, portfolio management, and oversight of the firm's event driven and distressed debt research team. Mr. Monis graduated from Long Island University, C.W. Post with a BS in business administration and a double major in finance and management information systems.

Stephen B. Silver is a director of ICG and a member of the investment committee. He joined ICG in 2009 and his responsibilities include manager due diligence, business development and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Silver was a senior vice president in the Institutional Equity Division for Prudential Securities advising West Coast institutions. He spent ten years before that with Wertheim Schroder in Los Angeles as a director in the Institutional Equity Group providing research coverage to institutions. His early career began at Oppenheimer and Company in the Wealth Management Group where he and Jeff Assaf worked together advising clients. Mr. Silver graduated from the University of San Diego with a BA in finance and economics.

Administration

Jewelle V. Thornton is the head of operations and administration for ICG and has been with the team since 1988. Prior to ICG, Ms. Thornton was vice president of Bear Stearns and the head of administration for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Ms. Thornton was with Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. for nine years, where she worked as head of administration for the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. Prior to that, she spent five years with First National Bank of Chicago. She graduated from Howard University with a BA in economics.

Kimberly Scott-Moseley is a vice president of ICG and has been with the team since 1999. Her responsibilities include administrative operations and client management. Prior to ICG, Ms. Moseley was with Bear Stearns as an administrator in the Investment Consulting Group. Before that, Ms.Moseley was a registered sales assistant at Smith Barney, and began her career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1993. She graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in English & Creative Writing.

Diana V. Bouch is the chief compliance officer of ICG. She is responsible for overall firm compliance, works closely with the investment team on the manager due diligence process, and serves on the investment committee. Prior to ICG, Ms. Bouch worked for Bear Stearns as due diligence manager for the Investment Consulting Group, and previously for Mosaique Capital Management, LLC. Ms. Bouch graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in business administration.
